    Autumn/winter caravaning

Hi Tony, Do you change to propane rather than butane in the winter? Propane, red gas, gasses off at lower temperature. I stayed in a big old twin axle for 18 months while we did up a croft house on the Isle of Skye and changed to Propane after one very chilly night. Cheers Phil

    Kwick-Fit tyre fitting offer

Hi John, Tyron bands just fill the well in the wheel so there is absolutely no reason why they wouldn't fit tyres to wheels with them on. As far as I am aware the machines they use for removing and refitting tyres don't rely on the well. The well is of most use when you are using tyre levers...

    Breakdown cover

Hi Dean, I think that the Caravan Club's Red Pennant cover would cover you for this in Europe. The other obvious answer is to be self sufficient. I used to have a Land Rover Freelander that didn't have a spare tyre. Instead it had a kit including a tube of some goo that inflated the tyre and...

    Hull Zeebrugge savings

I just received an email from P&O regarding the Hull to Zeebrugge ferry. This is a great option for those of us in the North who want to avoid the English motorways with all of their snarl ups and 50 MPH average speed check areas going on for mile after mile with no sign of any work being...
